The Sioux City Public Library encourages all community members to visit the Library during National Library Week, April 7-13, in-person or online to explore its services and programs. The Sioux City Council will proclaim April 7-13 National Library Week at the City Council meeting on April 8.
National Library Week is a time to celebrate libraries, the contributions of library workers, and to promote library use and support. The theme for National Library Week 2024 is “Ready, Set, Library,” illustrating the idea that in this fast-paced, online-focused world, libraries give everyone a green light to something truly special: a place to discover a great read, connect with others, and learn new skills. At the Library’s programs, events, and book clubs, Sioux Cityans can connect with fellow community members while building relationships that will last a lifetime. No matter where one finds themselves on the road of life — preparing for a new career, launching a business, or raising a family — the library provides an inclusive and supportive community where everyone belongs and resources to help you succeed.
This National Library Week, the public can show their support by visiting the Sioux City Public Library in-person or online at our website. Follow the Library on Facebook at facebook.com/SiouxCityPublicLibrary and use #NationalLibraryWeek to join the online celebration!
