Read. Renew. Repeat. The 2024 theme for Summer Reading encourages individuals and communities to be more sustainable – either by using the Library and sharing resources or by recycling goods rather than throwing them away. Below are ways to recycle unwanted items in Sioux City.
Sioux City Public Library – Donate Books, DVDs, CDs, & Vinyl Records
Aalfs Downtown Library, 529 Pierce Street • M-F • 9am-3pm
Books donated are sold at the Friends of the Library Book Sale to raise funds that support the Library. Donations must be clean and in good condition, damaged or dirty materials will not be accepted as the Library incurs a fee for recycling. Donations must be bagged or boxed – containers will not be returned to the donor. Donations larger than 3 bags/boxes should call ahead at 712-255-2933 x2251 so staff are available to assist.
