The Sioux City Public Library is getting ready for summer and the Library’s Summer Reading Program! Join us for a special Kickoff Event on June 1 at 11am in Peter’s Park next to the Morningside Library Branch at 4005 Morningside Ave. in Sioux City.

This year’s Kickoff event will feature singer/songwriter Duke Otherwise

Duke Otherwise is a playful wordsmith, a spirited performer, a skilled guitarist and captivating tap-dancer.  Using his distinct baritone, he sings his hilarious and imaginative songs that all ages will delight in together.   From Madison, WI, Duke plays nearly 150 shows a year throughout the Midwest and beyond; in libraries, schools, living rooms, churches, theatres, festivals, and fairs.  His energetic live show is filled with improvisation, audience participation, dancing, and outrageous fun!

Sioux City Public Library Summer Reading Program is June 1 – July 30. The Library will have a variety of FREE events, challenges and activities that children, teens and adults can participate in either in-person and online.
