Bingo Cards:
Stop in to any Sioux City Public Library location and pick up a Bingo Reading Challenge card! Bring completed Bingo cards to the Upper Level desk at the Aalfs Downtown Library for a free book (*prizes are limited). Bingo cards are one of the many ways you can earn tickets on the Beanstack App towards prizes. Complete as many cards as you can between June 1 – July 31.

Audubon Bird Presentation with Randy on June 19
Come learn about the history of the National Audubon Society and the Loess Hills Audubon Society from Randy Williams, member of the Loess Hills Audubon Society. Randy will also introduce us to the sport of birding (and share intel on local birding hotspots!) and highlight some of the tools — both old and new — available to help people become involved in this highly rewarding activity.
On Common Ground Documentary and Discussion on June 12
Join Ryan Allen and Brian Hazlett, editors of this year’s Summer Reading title On Common Ground, for a viewing of a documentary about this project followed by a discussion and Q&A session about On Common Ground.
Loess Hills Presentation with Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center on June 11
Come hear a naturalist from the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center present at the Aalfs Downtown Library about the incredibly unique Loess Hills environment in which Sioux City is situated. You’ll come away with a new understanding and appreciation of our special ecosystem.
Adult Summer Reading Kick-Off: Trivia Night at Buffalo Alice on June 5
On Wednesday, June 5, Adult Summer Reading will kick-off with a Trivia Night at Buffalo Alice’s on historic 4th Street! While you are testing your pop culture knowledge across the decades you can get more information on the Adult Summer Reading program (June 1 - July 31).
