Be an artist just like Jean from the Sioux City Reads novel 'Take What You Need' by Idra Novey. All ages are invited to spend a relaxing afternoon on Sunday, March 3 making family history collages in the Gleeson Room at the Downtown Library. Scissors, poster board, scrapbooking paper, stickers, and paste will be provided. Participants should bring the family photos they wish to use in their collages.
You could not, would not want to miss a storytime as fun as this! We'll read books, sing songs, have fun and play, as we enjoy Dr. Seuss's special day! Create a Seuss-tastical craft after storytime. Special guest appearance by the Cat in the Hat! All ages welcome. Registration is required. Free parking on weekends!

Stop by the Library on Tuesday, February 6th and help us PAINT our window mural! Visit the Aalfs Downtown Library to help paint the 2024 Sioux City Reads window mural! All ages are welcome to attend, and everyone will have a chance to add their mark to this “paint-by-numbers" style project - all supplies provided.
What could be Under the Sea? Sea Stars, Clown Fish, and Sharks galore! What ocean adventures will we explore? Attendees will experience fin-tastic fun through stories, songs and rhymes. Win tickets to see Baby Shark’s Big Broadwave Tour at the Sioux City Orpheum on Saturday, February 3! Stop in to any Sioux City Public Library location and pick up a Baby Shark coloring sheet. You can color at the Library or take it home but be sure to return your sheet to any Library location by January 20!
