September is Library Card Sign Up Month at the Sioux City Public Library, and this September the Library is launching 3 to Go, a new personalized book bundle service. Using 3 to Go, patrons or their children will receive three books hand-picked for them by Sioux City Public Librarians.
Experience West African stories, poetry, and drumming in this interactive and hands-on presentation featuring Kofi Dennis, Wolf Trap Performing Arts Master Teacher and Drummer. Perfect for preschool and elementary age children and their families. Free and open to everyone!
Naturalists from the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center are bringing some of their feathered friends to the Aalfs Downtown Library for a meet and greet to celebrate the finale of Adult Summer Reading. You will learn all about these owls and see them for yourself up close!

Bring your squad and enjoy the show from the audience. The Jolly Time Popcorn Bar will complete this rocking after-hours experience.

Join us to learn about the efforts the Loess Hills Audubon Society is making to obtain the designation of Bird Friendly City for the City of Sioux City. Marla Kerr, President of the Loess Hills Audubon Society, will also share information about the current threats to birds and simple actions we can take to help protect them and enhance their habitat, citizen science aspects of data collection, bird watching tips, and birding app and book recommendations.
