Patrons Connect with the Library During National Library Week

April 3 – 9, was National Library Week, a time to highlight the essential role the Library and its staff play in transforming lives and strengthening communities. The theme for this year’s National Library Week was “Connect with Your Library.”  

 The Sioux City Public Library invited visitors of all ages to participate in coloring a page for display at the Library and writing their favorite thing about the Library or listing a favorite book. We had many amazing contributions and want to share a few with you:

“Because I like reading and story time.” 

“Dear Librarians, Thank you for all you do. You have always worked with me and have been super lenient on certain things. You guys do a lot. I can’t imagine this job being the easiest, but I bet it’s super fun! ..and quiet. Keep working hard and being yourself because you don’t know who you will impact.” 

“I love the Library because it has amazing books!”  

“I love the library because it has a good collection of non-fiction books.” 

“I like to color at the Library.” 

“I love going to the Library with my Grandma.”
