Get Ready for Sioux City Reads!
SIOUX CITY, IA – The Sioux City Reads program, a community-based reading initiative where a book chosen by Sioux Cityans becomes the basis for a month of programs, discussions, and events; returns with a new title for 2025: Unmask Alice: LSD, Satanic Panic, and the Imposter Behind the World's Most Notorious Diaries by Rick Emerson. Sioux Cityans chose this title
Monday Matinee @ Morningside: January 13 at 1 pm
Look for a different movie every Monday at 1 pm through Memorial Day! January 13th Movie: This 2006 comedy-drama is about a newly-graduated journalist who takes a job at a well-known fashion magazine and finds herself at the mercy of the demanding editor.
Baby Storytime on January 11
For adult parents/caregivers and babies ages 0-12 months. Join us for a 20-minute early literacy experience just for the little ones! Babies learn and engage with rhymes, songs, books, and bounces. After Storytime, enjoy play and social time. Comfy clothes suggested. Feel free to bring a blanket for you and baby to sit on the floor together. Chairs are also available. Free parking on weekends.
January’s Open Book Club: Eat the World by Marina Diamandis

Each week on Tuesday at 11 am at the Perry Creek Library or Wednesday at 10:30 am at the Morningside Branch Library join us for a fun and interactive storytime for ages 0 through 5! Curious young minds experience the magic that stories offer, build vocabulary, and develop early literacy skills for future reading success!
