1st Saturday Family Storytime: Library Puppet Show on February 1
Join us for a Groundhog Day Special Event! After reading a story or two, we'll present a puppet play featuring some of our favorite furry friends! After the show, kids can create their own puppet to take home.
Get Ready for Sioux City Reads!
SIOUX CITY, IA – The Sioux City Reads program, a community-based reading initiative where a book chosen by Sioux Cityans becomes the basis for a month of programs, discussions, and events; returns with a new title for 2025: Unmask Alice: LSD, Satanic Panic, and the Imposter Behind the World's Most Notorious Diaries by Rick Emerson. Monday Matinee @ Morningside: January 27 at 1 pm
Look for a different movie every Monday at 1 pm through Memorial Day! January 27th Movie: This 2013 drama-romance is an adaptation of the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel that is required reading for many high school students. Featuring opulent Jazz-Age style and an over-the-top soundtrack, it won two Academy Awards - Best Production Design and Best Costume Design.
STEM Youth Events at the Library – January 25
Get registered for these STEM-themed events happening at the Aalfs Downtown Library on January 25 from 11 am to 12 noon! Ages 8-12 will use robotic building blocks to design and code on the Library’s iPad and ages 3-7 will have an imaginative journey with stories, beginning coding concepts, and the Library's Bee Bots!

Each week on Tuesday at 11 am at the Perry Creek Library or Wednesday at 10:30 am at the Morningside Branch Library join us for a fun and interactive storytime for ages 0 through 5! Curious young minds experience the magic that stories offer, build vocabulary, and develop early literacy skills for future reading success!
